Green Yaas is a family business dedicated to quality products, customer service and natural/environmentally-focussed processes. Our products are quality green whole, sliced and split kernel pistachios ideal for various food products including chocolate, cakes, biscuits, ice creams and quality processed meats any many more food products. Green Yaas has developed processes that ensure all natural benefits are preserved and only high quality products are delivered. For best result and intense natural colour it is necessary for the pistachio to be harvested early, before they are fully ripped with majority still in closed shells. After the harvest the pistachios are cleaned and sundried first. The closed, uniform and high quality pistachios are separated and mechanically opened removing both the outer skin and the middle hard shell. Those with already part-open shells are separately opened and the kernels are tested for quality and allowed to proceed if quality criterions are met. All resulting kernels are cleaned. Using a carefully designed process the very thin third skin, still covering the kernels, is also separated resulting in perfect and high quality green kernels. The kernels then are sorted according to the intensity and shade of colour and size. Some kernels are mechanically processed into sliced and split format. The final product, in whole, sliced or split formats are packaged, labelled and shipped to customers according to their requirements.
